Why HDTD?
We are living in Yerevan, Armenia. So why is this blog then called "Halfway down the Danube", you may ask. I mean, the Danube isn't anywhere near the Caucasus, right?
Well, this blog started out in Serbia, when we lived in Belgrade - which is roughly halfway down the Danube. Then we moved to Romania, and now we are in Armenia. If you think we could have been a bit more, hm, anticipatory about our future, you are correct. However, we weren't. So, there.
And who are you, anyway?
We are Douglas (icon: glasses) and Claudia (icon: ponytailed girl), married parents of Alan (4), David (2) and Jacob (<1). We write about the expat life in whatever country we are living in at the moment (Armenia) and about whatever else interests us.
Our co-blogger Carlos (icon: coffee cup) lives in Brooklyn, NY and writes about whatever interests him.
In theory we have two more co-bloggers, Larry and Natalie (icons: tbd). In due time, they will write something, I'm sure.
