The W32.Prolin.Worm virus sends the program CREATIVE.EXE to everyone in your address book. The e-mail sent claims that it is a Flash movie, instead of the worm that it really is. In addition to the e-mail, it moves all of your JPG and ZIP files to your C: \ directory and adds "change atleast now to LINUX" to the filename. It creates the file C: \messageforu.txt with a list of the files moved. This file is used as the instructions on how to undo the damage. |
