program can represent the following objects in 3D space: regular prism
(3 to 10 sides); general three-sided prism; special four-sided prism
(adjustable inclination of sides); regular pyramid (3 to 10 sides).
For each geometrical object we can interactively adjust certain
parameters such as: height and length of sides, inclination of sides,
number of sides, etc. Each object can be gradually and smoothly opened
or closed from its basic net to a geometrical object. Each adjustment
of parameters is interactive and seen immediately - animated. Each
object can be freely rotated in 3D space at "all times of the process".
Each object can be zoomed in or out at any scale. 3D animation
executes at high speed - in real time even on slower machines.

whether or not the relation-to-graph has solutions within each pixel in
the graphing area. This algorithm is what makes GrafEq flexible,
precise, and robust. GrafEq has both an English and a Dutch interface.

Email: PASeeger@aol.com
Homepage: http://members.aol.com/PASeeger/
Download: mndlzm21.zip (Apr 6 1998, 211.5K)
Description:
Computes a portion of the Mandelbrot set in high resolution and high precision, and displays with 16 or 236 colors. The user has control through a Windows dialog box, or a new zoom area may be selected with the mouse. Resolutions from 640x480 through 1280x1024 and magnifications up to 10^13 are supported. Files may be saved in bitmap (.BMP) format. Black is used for values of the complex number c for which z <== z^2 + c does not diverge within some maximum number of iterations starting from z = 0 + 0i. For values of c which do lead to divergence, colors are assigned either as a function of number of iterations to reach a radius of 1000, or the computed "escape time," or the azimuth of the last computed point. Points closer than some limit to the boundary of the set may be set to white. Iterations are performed within the coprocessor for maximum speed and precision.

RANDINT

Summary: Generates random numbers and strings. Free
License: Freeware
Author: John Michael Williams
Email: jwill@AstraGate.net
Download: randint7.zip (Oct 19 2000, 83.1K)
Description:
This program generates lists of nonnegative, 32-bit random integers.
It outputs these as decimal and hex integers; it follows the numbers
with a string of all printable ASCII characters in the list. The
string may be useful for crack-resistant password composition. Lists
may be cumulated and saved to disk.

This program will solve triangles from the following information: 1)
All three sides 2) Two sides and a corresponding angle. 3) Two angles
and a corresponding side.

Once you provide the information, the program calculates the remaining
sides and/or angles, area, and height.

VALIDAT

Summary: Spreadsheet validates accuracy of test methods
License: Freeware
Author: Simon Hill
Email: hill.sd@pg.com
Download: validat6.zip (Jul 5 2000, 315.3K)
Description:
This is an Excel spreadsheet which can be used to validate the accuracy
of a test method. It can be used to determine if a measurement has
significant operator error and/or equipment error. The procedure
requires three different operators to measure 10 different parts three
times as part of a blind study. The spreadsheet calculates the
relative error for each operator and gives a pass or fail remark for
each person/combination of persons.

The spreadsheet needs to know the range in the specification for the
measurement. In this way, the program knows how accurate you really
need to be, i.e. it checks that you are not using a hammer to crack a
peanut! (or over-expensive equipment). The pass/fail criteria is
based on an assumption that the average error should be no more than
20% of the specification range - which is used in industry.
