and shapes every time. The full version does the same, except it zooms
in on a banner ad (gif, animated gif, jpg, etc.) of your choice, instead
of just text, and allows you to customize the graphics and specify a URL
to go to when someone clicks on it.

Loading of the applet is very fast because it is smaller than most
image files (8KB). The applet does not use bitmapped image files, all
graphics are computed within the applet itself so no extra loading of
image files is necessary. It works with all major browsers, versions 4

Campfire

Author: Babatunde Turner
Email: bturner@netsite.com
Homepage: http://www.wwa.com/~tunde/
Download: cmpfir10.zip (Jul 14 1998, 137.4K)
Description:
Campfire was created to solve a data corruption problem. The problem
occurs when the Extended Logging Fix for IIS 3.0 is installed, while IIS
4.0 is running and using the W3C Extended Logging. The Extended Logging
Fix took the generic IIS log format and appended UserAgent, Referrer,
etc. data to the URI. The installation application for IIS 4.0 does not
check to see if this fix is in place. As a result, when using W3C
Extended Logging, information such as UserAgent, Referrer, etc. is
duplicated in the log -- as part of the log format and appended to the
URI. This causes logging applications to generate extremely weird
results when processing these "corrupted" logs.

DJBIND

License: Freeware
Author: Alvaro Schwarzberg, Amslib
Email: alvaro.schwarzberg@free.fr
Homepage: http://amslib.free.fr/
Download: djbind10.zip (Mar 20 2000, 77.1K)
Description:
DJBinder is a tool that creates runtime links between interfaces and
classes, just like the "implements" statement does it at build time.
In other words, it is possible to attach interface implementations to a
class without recompiling it. DJBinder magic resides in the fact that
interfaces implemented by special abstract classes can dynamically be
associated to a different class at runtime. Furthermore, existing
classes do not have to be recompiled to take advantage of new
dynamically implemented interfaces.

DJBinder is fully compatible with all Java2 compilers and JVMs, and
it can be used to develop Java applications, applets and servlets
(professional version only). Some of the main advantages of using
DJBinder are: enhanced Concurring engineering, Multiple inheritance
without the problems of C++ and Easy program evolution. You can find
a complete description on my web site.

DocFather Standalone

Summary: Create search index
License: Demo.
Download: dfse11.zip (May 31 1998, 4.8M)
Description:
Creates a full-text search index for WebSites and HTML documentations.
DocFather Standalone Edition 1.1 is the Java Search engine, which makes
any HTML searchable. DocFather provides webmasters and developers alike
with an excellent utility to make their Web Sites, html documentation or
intranet/internet contents searchable. DocFather is completely
server-independent and can be used online (Internet/IntraNet) or offline
(local, Network, CD-ROM).

This utility automatically creates a cross-platform full-text search and
navigation index from a given set of files (HTML, TEXT, JAVA etc.). It
can be used as cross-platform HelpSystem, similiar to WinHelp, for
Applications or as viewer for HTML-based CD-ROM. DocFather contains it's
own integrated browser (based upon JavaSoft's HotJava), which enables
anyone to browse through documentation, make bookmarks, annotations or
prints. DocFather was tested successfully in Windows, Unix, Linux and
OS/2. DocFather instantly transports visitors or readers to the point
they want to be and needs no additional components.

DocFather simply consists of two components. The first one is the
DocFather Index creator. This fine-designed graphical Java application
searches the content files for titles and keywords and creates the search
and navigation index. The second part is the DocFather Browser, a HTML
3.2 viewer, which lets the user browse through the documentation and HTML
files. This Browser, comparable to Microsoft's popular Winhelp, lists
all indexes and keywords and enables people to search, explore and jump
to contents with a click of the mouse.

Description:
Dynamic Internet Publisher (DICPublisher) is a Java application with a
GUI. It will enable those whose IP addresses are provided dynamically
from a pool of addresses by their ISP to host Internet services of their
own. It does this by querying your mailserver of choice for your
current external IP address. It then writes this into a simple webpage
with an inbuilt redirect tag and publishes it via ftp to the location of
your choice. You specify the delay time from 0 secs upwards. Visitors
to that page are redirected to your web server running at home on the
port you specify, allowing you to administer your own cgi-bin, applets,
applications, databases etc. Set the redirect delay higher if you want
to allow visitors time to paste the details into a non-web client (eg
ftp, quake etc).

License: Freeware
Author: Ulrich Waldispuhl
Email: ulrich.waldispuhl@compaq.com
Download: jdkc_27b.zip (Sep 14 2000, 323.9K)
Description:
JDK Commander is a tools integration program that has been designed as
an entry level Java development tool for Microsoft Windows PCs. It
complements Sun's Java Development Kit (JDK) by wrapping the JDK in a
graphical user interface. JDK Commander was written by someone who
appreciated the functionality of the tools in the JDK, but was
frustrated by the awkward DOS command line interface. The design goals
were
- Absolutely no interactive DOS windows.
- No command line interface except where unavoidable: Only the jdb
debugger requires command line interaction.
- No installation problems.
- Flexibility in using multiple versions of JDK.
- Support for multiple public classes in a single source file.
Although this does not conform to the standards established by Sun,
this feature has been implemented (with an appropriate warning) for
compatibility with other Java development tools.

reuse types (overview): Which packages are there, which types are in
each package, how do they relate to each other, and what exactly do
they do? - while you code (details): Which are the supertypes of this
type, which are its abstract methods (declared and inherited), how do I
call this method, and what does it do? Juliet provides the answers.
