License: Freeware
Download: plyfx101.zip (Nov 3 2000, 1.1M)
Description:
PolyFAX(tm) permits a user to send and receive e-mail using any regular
fax machine. The message may be plain text and/or a paper document.
An Internet connection is not required. The sender does not need an
e-mail address. The user enters the message and e-mail addresses of
the recipients and the program prints an Address Page and a Message
Page. The data are printed as bitmaps. The Address and Message Pages
are placed on the (optional) paper document and they are faxed together
to a server which extracts the destination addresses and plain text
message and converts them to e-mail messages. An image file
representing the (optional) paper document is attached to the e-mail,
before transmitting to the recipients. The Address and Message Pages
are not transmitted.

The PolyFAX(tm) service is currently available in 200+ cities in 48
countries. The client software is free of charge and freely
distributable. The associated service is free of charge for 30 days.
Subscribers to the service may use the software for fax broadcasting
to any mix of e-mail addresses and fax numbers and may also opt to
have e-mail replies delivered to their fax machine if they do not have
an e-mail address.
