Standalone tool (no AutoCAD needed) for extracting attribute information from DWG files. AttExt is the next program in Intelcad BLITZ! software series of standalone power tools for processing AutoCAD drawings. As other products in this series, this one doesn't need AutoCAD in order to operate, it reads DWG files with extreme speed of 1000s of drawings per hour and it can process drawing files from all versions of AutoCAD including R2000. This program extracts attributes and block data from processed drawings as per user specification and creates extract file that can be opened as Excel spreadsheet or imported into most database and spreadsheet programs, including Microsoft Access. Few applications for this program that we can envision at this time: 1. Searchable catalog of all company drawings containing titleblock with attributes. Just generate attribute extract file from all 30000 drawings on a server and import it into Microsoft Access database. Then sort it by title, by disk path, find duplicate titles and other mistakes in titleblocks. With the extreme processing speed you can update this database as often as you need (eg. every 24 hrs). 2. Bill of Material (BOM). Extract attributes data into Excel and process it with Excel tools. Or make custom program that reads CSV output from this program (it's easy to read CSV, it is an ASCII text file, where each line is for one record and each data field in a record is separated by chosen delimiter). |

This routine creates blocks and deletes the selected entities automatically. Entities selected are changed to layer 0, then created on the current layer. All you need to input is a name prefix and the routine will add a number suffix as _0001, _0002,... _nnnn. Also, it will truncate (if more than 11 characters) your block name prefix to 11, plus the number suffix which makes it 16 characters total, giving enough room for a drawing filename in case the drawing is used as an XREF.

Machine such as Wire EDMs, Laser Etchers, Flame cutting, Milling machines, Lathes etc. GCode can be used for creating individual complicated tool paths for 2-D and 3-D machines. Custom INI files are used to taylor Gcode to your particular machine tool. Several working examples are provided. Gcode is a low cost opportunity for small independent machine shops to convert their drawings into useful programs for their CNC and DNC equipment without the hassle of figuring out the geometry manually. Simply draw the outline of the part on a dedicated layer. Then DXF out the file to a directory that Gcode is watching. Gcode will capture the file, process, and plot it. 'Swap' allows the direction of travel to be changed. File transfer both in an out is supported so this system can be hard wired to a machine tool via Rs232. Graph line color red = cutting to blue not cutting. Files can be saved and retrieved across a network. Standard ascii format is used for all files. Can be configured to support any axis combination. The characters assosiated with a command can be changed at will. |

"Sequential Labeling Generator 1.1d" Demo version. This LISP routine was designed to insert sequential labels into AutoCAD drawings. It is very useful, for instance, for Fire Alarm drawings when assigning sequential addresses for smoke detectors or in Architectural drafting for rooms or parking spaces numbering. The label can be single or two-row entity. It is possible to underline the label or to have separation line for two-row label. It is possible to combine up to five (up to ten for two-row label) numeric, changeable, and alphabetical, non-changeable, parts in the same label. The rate of change for numeric part is set by Increment which can be positive or negative. Each Increment will control only corespondent part of the label. This makes possible to have complex labels where each part has it's own changing sequence. Navigation batons will give possibility to check on label behavior after the label structure had been set. User can save the last label and it's settings in separate file for later use. It is possible to skip numbers, change any label element or increment without terminating the routine. Version 1.1 adds "Rewrite" option to change any existing TEXT object to new label.

Also when mouse is dragged the current (dX, dY) coordinates are displayed along with the angle of inclination. - After the drawing is complete the user can choose the Measuring Line with which the default distance comes in the dialog box and can be changed to any text by the user. - On Right Clicking the mouse it starts acting like a scroll bar. For this to work you'll have to stop MouseLmp if it is installed on your computer. - Another advantageous feature is that it displays center of figures like rectangles, arcs etc. which makes it easier to draw concentric objects and measure distances. - With the copy tool the client screen is copied to the clipboard and can be retrieved as a bitmap using your favorite image software. This helps to make this software compatible with various image handling softwares. - Exceptionally good tips provide the user with all the help required to start off with this application. Users can also add their own tips in the tips file. - The programming environment used is 32 bit and full use of OOPS features like classes, polymorphism, inheritance, virtual functions derived classes and overloaded functions have been made. |
