Enter and save your child's spelling or vocabulary lists and then let your child learn and play at the same time. Our version of the classic Hangman game was designed with young children in mind, but is appropriate for all age levels. With this version you can use the word list of approximately 500 words included with Hangman, create your own word list, include definitions to improve vocabulary, transfer words and definitions from one word list to another, and play the game using the mouse or keyboard. It's hint feature uses word's definition to provide a hint when needed The object of Hangman is to guess all of the letters in a word before the Hangman is drawn. If the letter which is guessed is in the word it is shown. If the letter is not in the word, another line is drawn on the Hangman. Hangman is also useful for learning a foreign language.

"Animated Arithmetic CD" for Windows and Win 95 teaches addition, subtraction, multiplication and division for children from 1st through 4th grades. It provides exercises in addition and subtraction with and without regrouping. Problems can involve up to 9 digits. More than just a drill program, progressive help is given as needed to instruct the child to solve the problems. The multiplication and division problems are based on the multiplication table from 1 to 10, it teaches "mental math" in a painless way. Progressive help is given as needed when the student is having difficulty with a particular problem (not just a Wrong! response from the computer). Once ten problems are completed, the student gets to visit the game room. There are puzzles with animation and sound, and a maze game where the child can make their own mazes (which are rewarded with an animation when solved), or make their own mazes. |

Animated Beginning Typing for Windows and Win 95, v1.10, is designed for young typists, and teaches proper typing technique for the letter keys. Sound effects and animation are used to make learning to type fun (and funny). Help is given with an animated tutorial, a screen to show proper fingering, and an on-screen keyboard which highlights the correct key when needed. There are three games in the program. "Jumping Letters" is designed for very young students, and can be played at any pace. Each correctly typed letter is rewarded with the letter being removed by an animated "critter" chosen by the pupil. When 10 letters are completed (context-sensitive help insures success), the child gets a silly cartoon. "Letter Drill" allows students to choose between 20 and 120 letters to practice. A report is generated at the end of the practice showing words per minute, errors, and time. The last letter in the sequence is removed in a silly way by a "critter", then the pupil is rewarded with a cartoon. "Flying Letters" is an arcade style game for advanced typists. The speed of the game is determined by the player (and can be changed at any time during the game). A report is generated at the end of the game, and a funny animation is displayed. All three games allow the student to choose a group of letters (such as left hand home keys), or to practice all 26 letters. |

Multi-Trainer is a very compact universal knowledge driller software. It can be used for learning all topics which can be arranged in a two field order like vocabulary (e.g. English-German), geography (state-capital), history (president-reign), etc.. You can learn single words or short phrases and/or numerical terms. The Multi-Trainer shows you one term (expression) and you must find the corresponding answer in an alphabetical or numerical ordered scrollboard and click on it with the mouse. The direction of the asking can be chosen at will, or you can let change the software the asking direction at random. All terms which are not mastered will automatically be asked more often and you can save those hard-to-learn terms in concentrated files. Although this system works without using the keyboard, a very high concentration is enforced and it shows unusual good learning results. Switch with a mouseclick from English to German. Manuals in English and German as <Write> files. This Freeware version can be used with all existing learnfiles. It includes some sample learnfiles and further learnfiles can be downloaded from our homepage. To create your own new learnfiles the <Pro> version is needed. |

| Description: |
The ability to read well is one of the most vital skills required for academic success. Once a child has been taught to read (phonetically), the best way to ensure that they become accomplished, life-long readers is to continually provide them with well-written, interesting books so that reading becomes a pleasurable experience. "Reading is Kids' Stuff" provides a database of over 800 popular children's books, selected specifically for their high moral standards and their appeal to children. With this software you will be able to select appropriate reading material for each child. Search the book database by Title, Author, Series Name, Type, Subject, or Awards. Descriptions are provided for each book, as well as the reading level, number of pages, and whether the book is Christian in content. The child can easily maintain a list of books that he/she has read, optionally rating and entering comments for each book. You may print out a list of books read by each child that includes the number of pages read, average pages per book, average reading level, points earned, and more. If you need to read a book in a certain amount of time, READKS can print a suggested daily reading schedule. You may also print a list of books to search for at the library, a "books to read" list, or a list of books that you own. In addition to all of these features, READKS is totally expandable. You may add or remove books from the database to suit your own needs and preferences. Intended User: 1st to 12th grade primarily, but could be used by anyone who can read. |

This software creates crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, word-definition match puzzles, vocabulary quizzes, and vocabulary lists. The software creates them from word list files. You can create your own word list files by entering words and definitions or use the word list of approximately 500 words (WORDS.DAT) which is included with the software. The puzzles and quizzes which Word Puzzler generates can be used by children to improve their vocabulary and spelling skills. Since you can enter your own list of words, it is especially helpful with vocabulary and spelling lists assigned at school. It can also be used with foreign languages. This software uses the same word list file format as A2ZWare's A2Z Hangman and Flash 'n Bingo programs, so you can enter vocabulary lists and use them with Word Puzzler, Flash 'n Bingo, or A2Z Hangman.

WordZap v3.65 is a Shareware word game where you race your computer opponent to create the most unique words from a given set of letters. When opponents make the same word, it is zapped from their lists. Instant definitions are given for obscure words. Four game options are available: Easyzap, LongZap, WordZap and MatchZap, increasing in difficulty. You can play in English, French, German or Spanish. As you get better at WordZap, the computer opponent also becomes more clever to match your ability. If you like Boggle or Scrabble you will like WordZap. |
