ArAlpha helps you memorize the Arabic and Persian alphabet. It is based on the principle of flashcards: an Arabic character or word is displayed, and you have to select the corresponding English/French equivalent letter or word, by clicking on one of the proposed solutions. At the end of an exercise, a barchart shows your results. A notebook records all your scores and lets you see what you have done and what is left to do. ArAlpha covers the entire Arabic alphabet, presenting the four forms of each letter, 52 ligatures, additional Persian letters, digits, and diacritics. It contains also more than 500 words. |

GBView v2.3 is a small applet for reading GB or BIG5 text in a non-Chinese edtion of Windows 3.1. GB is the computer standard of Mainland China's Simplified Chinese, and BIG5 is the computer standard of Taiwan's Traditional Chinese. Hongkong, Southeast Asia and elsewhere use one of the two systems, or both of them. GBView v2.3 has a built-in Chinese GB font data, and can be used to read GB or BIG5 texts in any language edition of Windows. When reading BIG5 texts, the Chinese characters in it are automatically remapped to a GB one before displayed. You can also save an opened BIG5 text file into another GB text file. |
