Description:
WiseBar is a Program Manager replacement with enhanced security features. It takes on a form similar to that of the Windows 95 Task Bar, hiding at the bottom of the screen when not needed and popping up to do its job when called upon.
Designed with flexible security features such as individual password protection for the contents of the Start button, WiseBar is not just another 16-bit version of the Windows 95 Task Bar. It plugs security loopholes that have been the bane of Windows 3.x system administrators and users alike.
Fully customizable and supports multiple configurations for multiple users on one single computer. With the fully backward-forward compatible WiseBar configuration format (CFG files), WiseBar can serve up an unlimited variation of configuration on one personal computer.
For people who have previously used Windows 95, WiseBar is pretty much the same Windows shell. If you have not used the Windows 95 Task Bar before, there is a on-line step by step tutorial included in the comprehensive and context-sensitive help file to give you more than a jump start.

Download: wcl810.zip (Jan 10 1997, 761.1K)
Description:
The Windows Command Line Processor (WCL) is a Shareware program that presents a fully featured DOS-like command line shell for Microsoft's Windows 95, Windows NT, Win 3.1x, and IBM's Win-OS/2. It is an applications manager, file manager, system manager, scheduler, batch file processor, scripting tool, and suite of Windows utilities, which can either replace or supplement the standard Windows Program and File Managers. However, all this functionality in WCL is invoked from a Windows command prompt. WCL operates as a Win16 program under Win 3.1x, but under Win32 (Win95 or NT), it takes on news wings, and supports Win32 functions, such as long filenames, etc.
Windows, DOS, and OS/2 programs can be executed by just typing their names and pressing <ENTER>, just as you would do at the Win95, NT, DOS or OS/2 command lines. Program files with the extension .COM, .EXE, .BAT and .PIF can also be run from WCL. WCL can also be used to run Windows programs from a Win16 command prompt.
In addition to these, WCL has several internal commands of its own, all designed to a richer functionality to the Windows environment. There are commands like SEEK, COPYTREE, and DELTREE, Unix-like aliases for commands, and aliases for directories.
Other features include UUencode, UUdecode, UNZIP, Filename Completion, Implied CD, Directory Aliases, Command Aliases, assignment of commands to Function Keys, Doskey emulation, batch file operation within Windows, full command-line editing, a FOREACH command, support for file extensions in WIN.INI, support for various Clipboard functions, timed Scheduling of commands, transmitting multiple commands at once, conditional execution of commands, and an interface for programmers to hook into the WCL system and extend the internal command set.
WCL supports batch file processing within Windows and can replace the Program Manager as your Win16 or Win-OS/2 Shell.
