Ephemeride is an almanac that displays: - ALL the Saints associated with the current day and the following day (a useful feature for Catholics celebrating the Saint they are named after.), - The mobile Christian religious festivals (Easter, Palm Sunday, Pentecost, Good Friday, Christmas Day,Boxing Day, etc.), - Mother's Day, Father's Day, - The phase of the moon for the current day as well as the dates and images of the intermediary phases (new moon, full moon, first quarter, last quarter), - The number of days up to the current date and the number of days left for each year, - Sunrise and sunset times, - The sign of the Zodiac for the day, the decan and the rank of the day in this decan, - A different quote every day, Ephemeride runs on Windows 3.11 or later versions. It hasn't been tested with Windows NT. It is advised, but not strictly necessary, to use a screen resolution of at least 800 by 600, as well as a 256 colour display. The database used for this demo version is incomplete, it lists only every second Christian name, and only 180 quotations. It doesn't display the moon phase for the current day but will display an animated representation of the moon's rotation. The full version offers, for a very low price, more than 900 quotations, the full list of Christian names (over 500) and it displays the phase of the moon for the current day. |
