The AGUARD Module (Alter-GUARD) can detect whether a file contains a
known virus. On initial execution, it reads all selected files and
generates a database with information about attributes, date and time of
last modification as well as checksums. On subsequent executions, the
stored data is compared with the current state and the user is notified
off all differences occurred, such as those that may be associated with
virus infection. AGUARD also has the unique ability to reconstruct files
to their original state. This method works for unknown viruses as well,
and proves whether the program was recovered successfully or not. FGUARD
(File-GUARD) is a memory resident program that monitors all operations of
your computer on the lowest level. Any attempted program modification,
direct write to disk, formatting, etc., is reported with user option to
allow or cancel the action.
