License: Shareware
Author: Michael C. Ring
Email: ringx004@tc.umn.edu
Download: rs232105.zip (Feb 3 1998, 48.1K)
Description:
RS232 v1.05 is an RS-232 bus analyzer program. Use it to capture RS-232 communications between 2 devices so you can analyze and debug protocol problems. The program will use all existing conventional RAM for the read buffer, up to 500,000+ bytes. The RS232 program has been highly optimized in assembly language for the best possible performance. The RS232 program has the ability to search for specific ASCII or Hex data and can also write the read buffer to disk for viewing at a later date. The program monitors and displays both ASCII and hex simultaneously as the data comes across the line, in both directions, all in real time. The program also displays whether any parity or framing errors have occurred and monitors the status of all hardware handshaking lines if so desired.

special serial port of your choosing.

It can be controlled either with command line options or with a
configurable Hot-Key. Hot-Key controls include moving around on the
screen, hiding/showing itself, and changing the COM port, among others.
