PalCode/D is a 32bit Pmode uuencoder/uudecoder for MS-DOS. It was designed and developed with the purpose of making it easy for the user to uudecode and also uuencode any file. PalCode/D correctly decodes files containing empty lines and any other kind of garbage. No more need to edit those huge ASCII files coming from Internet NewsGroups to strip all those garbage lines amongst the uuencoded ones. Just run PalCode/D and it will do all the work for you, quickly decoding only the real uuencoded lines and skipping all the garbage. It also features the usual multi-part encoding in parts whose size may be specified by Kbytes or by number of uuencoded lines. PalCode/D is ideal for posting/decoding binary data in FidoNet Echomail Areas and Internet NewsGroups. PalCode/D is Cardware, that is if you like and use it, you must send me a Postcard. PalCode/D is made in Italy. An OS/2 version is also available. |

uuapp100.zip (Aug 25 1997, 7.7K) |
| Description: |
When a file is sent through Email, it is often uuencoded, and then split into a number of pieces, resulting in numerous Email messages. These messages have to be appended together, and then decoded. Some Email clients can do this themselves, but others to not have that option. In the case of the latter, UUAppend v1.0 can save a lot of time, when attempting to join the messages, which often number into the hundreds. UUAppend v1.0 removes the headers and footers, which sometimes confuse certain UUdecoders. Unfortunately, the user still has to do a bit of the work, namely, saving each message in the form of a text file. These text files have to be in the form, 1.TXT, 2.TXT etc. Once they have been made, UUAppend does the rest, creating a file, named by the user, which is ready to be decoded, using any UUdecoding software. |

UUDeview is a smart decoder for decoding uuencoded, xxencoded, Base64 (MIME) and BinHex encoded files. It is especially powerful when it comes to multiple multi-part files. All you do is to save all the newsgroup articles or emails from your mail software into a file, and UUDeview does the necessary threading and sorting by itself. UUDeview is distributed under the terms of the GNU GPL, which basically means that it is free. |

uufill.zip (Dec 23 1996, 6.7K) |
| Description: |
Uufill is a program that I originally wrote for my own use, to solve the conflict between mail/news systems, and some versions of uuencode programs. Uufill may solve the problem either on the sender's side to protect against the results of the conflict, or on the receiver's side, to restore the corrupted file. The conflict: Uuencode programs encode the binary file into a set of 64 ASCII characters. Old uuencode programs (and even some new versions) were using also blanks as part of the set. Some mail/news systems are truncating right marginal blanks. While this is natural for text files, it cause the uuencoded file to be corrupted, causing uudecode programs to respond with "short file", "corrupted file" or "truncated file" error messages. Package contains 3 files: uufill.doc - Usage and other information. uufill.src - Source code in c-language. uufill.exe - Compiled for MS-DOS. |

uuXtract v2.14 is an offline MSDos utility designed to search for and extract one or more uu-encoded files from a larger file, for example, an Internet news group file and decode the uu-encoded sections. It handles multi-block files with ease and will re-arrange the blocks if required. You go straight from a UseNet news group file to *.gif, *.jpg, *.bmp, *.exe, *.wav, *.etc in one step. It is ideal for use with the alt.binaries.* news groups. |
