bip_3.zip (Jul 12 1997, 103.3K) |
| Description: |
BIP helps to make a correct and faster identification of an unknown microorganism. In this version of BIP, there are 62 standard physiologic and biochemical test responses of 440 clinical significant bacteria. This program can be used for educational purposes too. When phenotypic profile of an unknown bacterial sample was input to this program: - 1. BIP prepares a list of bacterial population according to their similarity to suscepted specimen. - 2. BIP decides which biochemical test is more specific for absolute identification of a suscepted bacterial sample. - 3. In result, true bacterium can be reported to clinician in a shortest time with the use of BIP. |

| Description: |
nucptle2.zip contains spookyspinner, an interactive, animated, graphics program as a sequal to Spookymass a previous program available in spookym2.zip. In that program the first eleven nuclear particles discovered have their masses predicted with elementary geometry. In this program a much simpler template in the vacuum is used. Richard Feynman's greatest mystery is solved in a speculative manner and a mew concept is discussed as to the true nature of Planck's constant. |

| Description: |
Patchit v2.93 is a scientific data acquisition program written for performing electrophysiological recordings (voltage/current vs time) experiments. It is widely applicable to other data acquisition purposes. It runs on IBM PC compatibles in graphics mode and requires a data acquisition board. The currently supported data acquisition boards are those in the Data Translation DT2821 family and the Scientific Solutions (Tecmar) Labmaster family. Patchit can acquire on up to 16 channels of data while simultaneously generating up to 2 analog and 14 binary (TTL) output waveforms Acquired data can be stored in native format (Patchit) or in Clampex format (pClamp - Axon Instruments) either of which can be analyzed using the companion data analysis program "Tack". |

Prism is a general spectral analysis tool, which also offers specialized options for the analysis of quadrupole mass spectra (e.g. in secondary ion mass spectrometry). Some of Prism's data transformation features are: filtering, Fourier Transform (FT) methods, Chebyshev fitting, integration, differentiation, arbitrary arithmetic and functional expressions. In addition, Prism includes routines for fitting and simulating mass spectra. |

SAALRA (SpectrAA Linear Regression Analysis) is a DOS utility designed to extract analytical run information from a Varian SpectrAA 300/400 graphite furnace AA instrument running Zeeman data acquisition software. While the data acquisition software is capable of printing a report containing all of the standard absorption and concentration information, it does not calculate the sample (unknown) concentrations. This has to be done by hand, resulting in much lower laboratory productivity than desired.
SAALRA takes the report generated by the acquisition software and

spookyl2.zip contains Spookylite, an interactive graphics program that illustrates three mysterious properties of light or electromagnetic radiation. It requires 640 kilobytes of memory on IBM type personal computers using CGA or VGA cards. SuperVga cards in mode 2 will also work with DOS 3.01 or higher. The knowledge required is kept to that of the high school junior or senior physics level. Spookylite covers lightly the ubiquitous and puzzling fine structure constant that has baffled scientists for seventy years. College undergraduates may also find this graphics program of interest |

spookym2.zip contains Spookymass, an interactive animation that introduces the user to the early discovered assortment of nuclear particles from the electron to the Omega. They are presented in such a way that they appear to have their masses linked by simple geometry. A game is presented that allows the user to create his own particles. Will not run on PC CGA. No great knowledge of physics is necessary. To operate simply use menus and simple prompts and entries. This Freeware can be freely distributed. waitfr13.zip (Aug 11 1997, 45.6K) |
| Description: |
Waitfor v1.3 is a utility which enables automatic interchanging and running of any DOS programs in two different application-windows under Win3.1 or Win95. Designed for use in auto-execute sequences of m398 and m273 EG&G Instruments electrochemical software. This program enables automatic interchanging and running of auto-execute sequences of m273 (EG&G Instruments program for conventional electrochemical measurements) and m398 (EG&G Instruments program for impedance measurements). One program automatically detects the moment that the second program has finished and takes over the control of the electrochemical equipment. For example, you can make a loop for galvanostatical reduction for one hour, then potentiostatic EIS, then reduction again automatically for fifteen cycles. Especially useful in battery related research. This package also includes a MCONV utility which converts multiple EG&G format ASCII files produced by the run of auto-execute, to plain ASCII. Also changes *.00N type file names to *0N.dat type, if requested. |
