Description:
Caller v5.2 is a 32-bit console application to assist in the reverse
engineering of Fortran programs. Caller generates call trees and
variable lists. The output is in either text or HTML for easy linked
navigation. Caller can optionally annotate the call tree with comment
information (eg "description") from the original source file.

FXT

Summary: FORTRAN source code analysis
License: Shareware
Author: Juergen Mueller
Email: jmsxt@compuserve.com
Download: fxt148.zip (Jun 21 1998, 632K)
Description:
FXT (FORTRAN Exploration Tools) consists of FFT (FORTRAN Function Tree
Generator). FFT analyses FORTRAN source code of applications, no matter
how big or complex, and is useful to explore unknown software and to
support software reuse and maintenance. By scanning and analyzing the
source code, FFT builds an internal representation of the function call
hierarchy relations. Several features and options allow the user to
customize the generated hierarchy tree chart output and to get a large
set of useful information about the source code. The results can be
stored in a database and recalled later. The recall utility can be
integrated into editors like BRIEF or MicroEMACS (DOS, Windows) and
provides a hypertext-like feeling for function locating. The output
calltree can be generated as HTML- and as RTF-file (Windows Help).

FXT is part of the SXT Software Exploration Tools which provide similar
source code analysis features for C (CXT), DBASE (DXT), FORTRAN (FXT),
JAVA (JXT) and LISP (LXT).

TIDY

Summary: Clean up Fortran-77 programs w/Fortran source
License: Free for non-commercial use.
Download: tidy701.zip (Jun 21 1998, 191.4K)
Description:
Tidy v7.01 is a highly configurable FORTRAN program to indent and
renumber statements, selectively change case of keywords or non-keywords,
and do various other clean-up tasks on FORTRAN-77 source programs. Tidy
can convert some FORTRAN-66 features such as Hollerith constants to
FORTRAN-77. Tidy can either retain DO/END DO loops or convert them to
standard FORTRAN-77 loops. It can change comment specifiers from C, c,
or * to ! as in F90 style. FORTRAN source code included.

names, the relational operators <,>,<=,>=, ==,/= and the use of
underscores in variable names.

TO_F

Summary: Converts F77 code to F90 free-format
License: Public Domain
Author: Alan Miller
Email: Alan.Miller@vic.cmis.csiro.au
Homepage: http://www.ozemail.com.au/~milleraj/
Download: to_f90.zip (Mar 8 1999, 17.2K)
Description:
TO_F90 is a Fortran 90 program for converting fixed-format Fortran 77
code to Fortran 90 free-format. Other changes replace old Fortran
constructs with more modern ones.

The conversions made include:
1. Standard format (column 7-72) converted to free-format.
2. DO loops and IF blocks indented.
3. Most labels are removed from loops and replaced with END DO, CYCLE,
EXIT, and DO-loop constructs where appropriate.
4. 3-way arithmetic IFs converted to IF .. THEN .. ELSE constructs.
5. TYPE and INTENT declarations inserted for all subroutine and
function arguments.
6. Computed GOTOs converted to SELECT CASE constructs.
7. Embedded blanks are removed from numerical constants; they are
illegal in free format.

The program is supplied in source code form. It is in standard Fortran
90. It should compile with any full Fortran 90/95 compiler.
