kill72.zip (May 10 1999, 85.8K) |
| Description: |
This program filters out messages from your mail and newsgroup files, and subject lines for your subject files, based on text you specify to look for, and eliminates those message that it finds with your criteria anywhere in the message. (I understand that most killfile programs only look at user and subject lines.) There is a global killfile and you can create local killfiles for each group. All this is done in one pass of your newsgroup files. Registered users get killfile history tracking to help when it's time to clean out killfile datafiles. May also be used by BBS operators. At least I have one customer who was doing so. See the KILLFILE.BBS addendum for more details. |

netmail.zip (Sep 6 1998, 75.3K) |
| Description: |
NetMail is a stand-alone automated POP3 and SMTP program for DOS. It works only with a comm port connection (usually a modem) to a PPP interface to a TCP-IP network. In other words, it can be instructed to dial a telephone number, log in to an Internet provider, get all incoming email and optionally delete it. In addition, it can send email via SMTP. The program has no facilites to read or reply to email, however. It simply gets and sends. It is expected that users would have another program for this. There is a fairly extensive section on the format of outgoing messages in the netmail.doc file. Please read this carefully. |

ntbin33.zip (May 10 1999, 88.6K) |
| Description: |
This program scans NetTamer message files for UUENCODE and MIME/BASE64 content and extracts them from the messages to .UUE and .64 files, respectively. Examines Subject: header for multi-part indicators and, if found, extracts the binaries to .Unn or .6nn files. Strips all binary MIME content from messages. If this program has trouble determining an output file name (usually due to non-standard message formatting) it writes the binary out to a unique UNK_n file. Pre-sorts message file alphabetically by subject (disregarding Re:'s) for improved results. |

ntls35.zip (May 10 1999, 116.3K) |
| Description: |
This program transfers messages from your mail file, and other downloaded (.dlu) files, based on the text you specify to look for in the message headers. It does this all in one pass of your file(s) based on how you set up the configuration file(s). Registered users get the added convenience of being able to send different criteria to the same newsgroup file (ex, you can have several email addresses going to penpals.dlu). |
